Ad-Aware 2007 will not run in safe mode?

I am using adaware 2007 that will not run in safe mode. I am getting the below error message:
Exception EAccessViolation in module Ad-Aware.exe at 001DD084. Access violation at address 005DD084 in module 'Ad-Aware 2007.exe' Read address 00000414

I am using Norton Internet Security, Spysweeper, Spybot, Windows defender and Adaware 2007. All this can be run in safe mode except for adaware. I have done all the scans and it is coming all clean. The adaware is also able to update and scan when running normally but why is this problem happening? Any ideas?

There are many people who are facing this same problem and it seems that the aawservice.exe requires an actively running service called 'aawservice.exe' and therefore it cannot run in Safe mode.

Thanks for the reply. I checked some post on the Ad-Aware support website and indeed it was mentioned that the problem is due to the service, but even though in my pc that service is running in Safe mode and still I am facing the same issues. This is a nasty bug from the software itself it seems.
