Windows XP, User login box, domain user how to auto populate.

There is a client who is upset that he has to type his username when login into his computer at work. so, I was wondering if anyone know how to make it populate automatically? We are on a domain login with Active Directory on Windows XP. Thanks for any information.

You can try to use the TuneUp Utilities by downloading it from its official website. It does what you need exactly and it will usually come for 30 days trial and after that you will have to purchase it from the same website.

You can go to Start and then Run > type gpedit.msc and click ok. After that go to the Local Computer Policy > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Option and then disable "Interactive logon: Do not display last user name". That will do the trick for you.

I dont understand that we really would need a third party application to set Windows XP to its default configuration?
