Problems with graphics driver - Intel 82845/G/GE/PE/GV

I have a old Pentium 4 Motherboard with me. It comes with onboard Intel 82845 graphic chipset on the same. I had just ordered a new 20inch monitor. The resolution that it supports on default mode is 1680x1050. But after connecting the same I found that the my board is not able to pop up the exact resolution. It is so dull and the system works extremely slow. I need some help here. My motherboard is not having any slot for graphic card.

You did a mistake. Your pc will have issue with displaying the maximum resolution due to extremely poor memory. It is better to use a regular crt monitor on the same. That is helpful to some extent. The most you can do is upgrade your system if you need better resolution and the new hardware will also allow you to add graphic card on the same. I am sure that will be quiet more helpful to you.

Please, Don't be a bag of lazy minds... if you think that it is the BIOS, try to boot your PC with the UBUNTU 9.1 Live CD, and Voilá, you will get 1920x1080 running natively for your GX260. Definitively, the good guys are not working on windows anymore. But we keep needing to use the "Biggest Virus" (win) for cute reasons as Silverlight and other compatibility issues. So, a call to those "programmers" and Gurus in win... DO IT! don't be a factory of cheap solutions: "change parts" ... (disgusting).
