how to get rid of Email-Worm.Win32.Brontok.q

I have got a laptop which is infected with this Email-Worm.Win32.Brontok.q virus. Because of it, I am not able to perform regedit. Also the options command under tools in Internet Explorer is gone. There are several times that I cannot shut down my computer and there are many other programs as well. I have got Kaspersky that finds about 1900 of them and deleted about 200 of them. Does anyone know a way to fix this virus? Thanks

Because you have so many files or anything else infected in your computer, then I would recommend you to format the hard drive completely and then reinstall a fresh copy of Windows operating system.
