screensaver will not turn on

I noticed that the screensaver is not turning on automatically and will also not turn on when I try it manually. Can anyone tell me how to make my screensaver to work again? Thanks

I think that the screen save will not work if you use a Wireless Optical desktop mouse on Windows XP with Service Pack 2 computer, check the below article for some information:
