I am getting an error in Windows Media Player that is very annoying. I work at the help desk manager for a medium organization. Every computer on the network are joined to a domain that uses Windows 2003 domain controllers, about half are Windows 2000 and the rest are Windows XP. This all computers are also updated to the latest service packs applied. The issue happens on Windows XP computers only, but not all. If WMP is opened then a Dr Watson error pops up after about 10 seconds saying that WMP has encountered a problem and needs to be closed. When the user ignores the error window and moves it out of the way then WMP keeps working, but if they select one of the options the error Window offers, then WMP closes. Below is the error message that am getting related to:
The version numbers and fault addresses changed based on the version the user is running.
