Age of Empires II Gold without CD

I want a solution to run Age of Empires 2 without a CD. I have got a small Dell laptop with an external CD drive, that suffice to say I dont always connect when I travel. Forcing me to run the game with the CD in the drive is quite hectic. Incase there are no official solutions then can someone point me a patch that can help me out? Thanks.

There are many methods to do that, but those are not legal. Buy a new copy of the game and play it legally.

Also, there are many 'No CD Cracks' available for the same but contain viruses in disguise.

That is actually my real problem, its really worst thing that you need a crack for a legally bought game. I will try to mount a copy of the CD using Daemon Tools as a fix and see if that works.

Yeah, it seems that the method you are using is a legal way, provided that you have the original CD and use it for yourself only.
