Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 7.0.5730.11,

I am using a Windows XP system with SP2 and updated with all recent Windows Updates. Its been a week I’m facing some problem on this system. One day my Internet Explorer got crashed suddenly for the first time. When I checked Event Viewer, I found this listed over there:

Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 7.0.5730.11, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x604245d0.

Since then this happens more than 10 times a day. Just an hour ago I upgraded Internet Explorer 6 to version 7 and hope the problem should have gone but still for safer side I’m posting question here. If there is any solution for the same, please let me know soon. Thank you.

Spent about 4 hours dealing with this - on IE 6.0.2900.2180, tried a load of things, I just couldn't be bothered to go into now - here's the solution:

copy log file to
http://www.hijackthis.de/index.php?langselect=english
backup registry
remove problem file- with a bit of luck, problem solved!
