Windows Live app failed to initialize (0xc0000005) - HELP

I have recently download and installed Windows Live Messenger but I am not able to open the application. It will simply give me some error message that says "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click OK to terminate the application". Does anyone know how to get rid of this error? Thanks

Do you use a Sony Vaio laptop, or some other Sony product like a MP3 player? If yes, then go to the Add and Remove Programs in Control Panel and remove the SonicStage Mastering Studio Audio Filter software from your computer. If it is not there, then you can also try to uninstall any other SonicStage software and after a restart, see if Window Messenger works.
