My computer is shutting down after every 10 minutes with "LSASS.EXE Terminated Unexpectedly with status Code 1073741819". I have already run the Microsoft Malicious Software tool and it doesnt detect the W32.Sasser.E.Worm. I have tested the Symantec tool also but the system shuts down before it is completed. Can anyone please help me out ? Thanks.

If you are running Windows XP then have you updated it with all the updates. It definitely sounds like a worm infection. When the message appears, then try to click on Start and then Run and then type "shutdown -a" without quotes to halt it and then download some updated Antivirus scanning software.

Can you try to disconnect the pc from the internet. After that download the patch and place it on media such as CDrom or usb drive. When the pc is disconnected from the internet then try to install the patch. I think that you are also not using Windows XP SP2. You should patch the system, scan the system with the tool I provided you and when the pc is known to be clean, then install Windows XP SP2 and all its patches.
