    Edb.log

I had upgraded to Windows XP from Windows 2000. The upgrade was proper. There was problem at time of upgrade. My system is compatible with xp and I had kept all the driver ready with me. I found some problem with edb.log file. I went in the command prompt to check the log file but it gives me access denied error. It says that it is being access by some other program. Currently there is nothing running on my pc. Can anyone guide me on this.

It is necessary to check first that you are checking inside the right folder. The location of the same basically lies under %systemroot%\system32\logfolder. It is necessary that you check the location first and then try to access the log or you will get those kind of errors. Still if you are getting issue then try the following in cmd. Type type in net stop wuauserv and hit enter key and then type net stop cryptsvc and hit enter key. This will give you access.
