Stop 0x0000008E and win32k.sys error

Hiya, my friend's PC has started up with a blue screen with the following messages: Stop 0x000008E and win32k.sys - Address BF80E80E base at BF800000 datestamp 4c22of9a
I have tried rebooting the PC several times, but it always starts with the same blue screen. The PC will not start in safe mode and also have tried last configuration but it keeps returning to the blue screen. Is there a self help solution or is it off to a repair shop, any help to solve this would be great, thanks

Look out for the thread that is been discussed Blue Screen STOP: 0X0000008E. I hope you may get a better solution for the same well. If you are still not able to get sort of the thing then I would suggest you to perform a clean install of the Windows version that you are using. Then make sure that you upgrade the video card driver which will be helpful. As this is been done you can function as needed.
