I just did the same thing....registered just to say thanks. I was able to remote into a user's machine and apply the fix immediately and it worked. Just made my Monday a little bit easier. Kudos!!

Well I simply registered to say thank you to All, I went with your option one and in less than a minute my PC was fixed. This is probably the most wonderful PC fix I have found in a long time. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
Anyone2U - Thank you so much for your life saving posting! My PC was up and running in no time. It had been infected by the "Windows XP Anti-Virus 2011 Virus", how ironic was that! I ran a scan and was able to find the virus, but in the process of cleaning it up, my system32\rundll32 was also deleted with the virus. Thanks again for sharing!
I also simply registered to say THANK YOU to Anyone2u.
Option 1 worked perfectly! In a matter of 3 minutes my computer was working again.
Thanks again!
WOW, days of trying to fix my computer, and just like that, option one, worked like a charm. I am in total awe!! I even downloaded other programs that I paid for to try and fix this problem, I can't thank you enough! Anyone2u, THANK YOU!

I guess OceanHillGeek is talking about "xp_exe_fix" file that actually belongs to registry. Even i dont have much idea about this file but as you said even you facing the same problem, i found some other discussion thread with the same. You should check out those, hope you will be helped:
C:windows\system32\rundll32.exe application not found
