Can't get AGP ATI RAdeon HD 2400 PRO video card working

I need some help here in fixing the problem with my graphic card. The card that my system has is AGP ATI RAdeon HD 2400 PRO. Everything is working fine. Due to some virus issue I formatted my pc. So I faced a bit problem with the same. It looks like some kind of driver problem. The setup was well and I used the driver cd's that I have with me. Everything looks to be updated. After a few minutes of usage I got a error on the screen. The error is atiok3x2.dll.- PageFault in non paged area. STOP 0x00000050, 0xE3FA42AD, 0x00000000, 0xBF15EB8B, 0x00000001 atiok3x2.dll - Address BF15EB8B base at BF15EB8B DateStamp 4844B4B8.And the system crashed.

Try to remove ATi Driver Utility first from your pc. The error is associated with the same. Remove any existing ATi update from your pc first. Then download the fresh setup from web and install it in your pc. That will be simply more helpful to fix the problem you are facing. You will need to locate fresh drivers only. Such error also appear due to incompatible files. New drivers are more stable compared to the older one.

I got the same error due to ATI Driver. To get rid of them you can download and install ATI Driver Uninstall tool. It is available on the web for free. Just download and run it. It will clean your pc from any existing drivers. Later on your can move ahead with other updates. ATi also offers some hotfix support from the official website. Those hotfix makes your system more stable to some extent. Looks like the old driver is causing the crash.

The corrupt dll file is causing the problem. The file atiok3x2.dll is simply associated with ati driver. The driver installation disc that you had used recently had installed some incompatible drivers. You will need to remove that first. Instead of directly using those disc you must simply go on web and download fresh drivers from the same. Instal them manually and then test back.
