    windows Live Messenger : 8100030d

    I wanted to installed the latest Windows Live Messenger but when it starts to run then I get the error code 8100030d. Does anyone know how to solve this error code? Thanks

    Even I am facing the same issue and I cannot find any solution as well. It looks to me that it is a known issue and Microsoft doesnt seem to solve it or offer a solution that can fix this problem. I will try to find a solution and then post it over here.

    I noticed that I was having MSN protection in the AVG antivirus software, looks to me this happens with just the paid version. So, just try to open the main AVG software and then open the Web Shield component, click on the instant messaging tab and then ensure the MSN protection is not checked and save the changes. After that restart the pc and see if that helps.

    Your method has solved the issue for me. Thanks, I wonder why microsoft dont know about it.
