    Multiple displays and nVidia - cloning and different resolutions

    My pc runs on windows Vista 64-bit and i am using Asus nVidia GeForce EN7600 GS Silent with DVI and VGA connections with nVidia (Vista 64-bit) 163.75 drivers. I have two 12.1" LCD 1280x800 native resolution but clone is not able to use different resolutions in Dualview. I wanted to know if there is any setting in nVidia Control Panel for setting up clone with different resolutions? Help regrading this will be highly appreciated.

    Re: Multiple displays and nVidia - cloning and different resolutions

    As far as i am aware it is possible to use clone mode with different resolution via NVidia. In order to do that you will have to enable "classic NVidia Control Panel" and for that you can use below batch file. Just copy below lines in text file, name it as "xxx.reg" and execute it. After execution you will get classic CP as an option in new CP file menu.

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NvCplApi\Policies]
    "SedonaDisable"=dword:00000002
    "ContextUIPolicy"=dword:00000001
    "TaskbarUIPolicy"=dword:00000001
    "CplGroupUIPolicy"=dword:00000002

    Once you revert to "normal" mode you should be able to use different resolutions with clone, hope that helps.
