    No Hibernate tab in Power Option Properties in XP x64?

    I want to know if it is possible to put Windows XP x64 system in to hibernate? I don't see Hibernate option in "Power Option Properties". I have tried opening command prompt and using powercfg /hibernate command but below is what i get in response.

    Hibernation failed with the following error: The request is not supported. The following items are preventing hibernation on this system. The system is running in PAE mode, and hibernation is not allowed in PAE
    mode.

    Is there anything else that i can try out???

    I was looking out for same thing and have come across this thread. Other than the solutions you have tried, i have tried using powercfg /hibernate command and have tried following this article and have added /nopae the boot.ini to:
    [boot loader]
    timeout=30
    default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
    [operating systems]
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Windows XP Professional
    x64 Edition" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect /nopae
    No luck yet.

    Is your system having more than 4g of ram?? I have found that system having more than 4g of ram running on running Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, or Windows Server 2008 cannot be forced to hibernate. That's the reason there is no "Hibernate tab" option in Power Options Properties dialog box. You can refer to this article for more information, hope that helps.
