Windows wont be able to install some specific hardware due to outdated drivers. You can try windows update for that. But still this does not work then there are many popular download website on the web that can help you to locate the drivers which you are looking for. You can download that and apply it in your system. I always take my driver backup before going ahead with formatting. I have a old system and without proper drivers a number of things in it will not work. I am using a driver backup tool for the same.

It is a big pain to locate drivers for Windows XP 64bit. This does not really work well on old system. But we have some smart tools that can do the job of finding right drivers. You don't need to rely on windows update or any other stuff. What you can do is download and install Driver Updater software. Some of them are free while some are paid. You can get a good one for XP. This tool has a huge database for drivers. They maintain the database from long time so that you get all drivers instantly. Run the tool. It will scan your system and add the latest version of drivers.
