    Stop Error: 0x00000101 Issue

Hi, I am using Windows Vista on a pretty good configured desktop but use to get Stop Error or BSOD every time while using any program that is based on high graphics. For example, VLC, ZoomPlayer, Windows Media Player, etc… And obviously I get the BSOD while playing games because they are based on the graphic card itself. I tried playing Bioshock and Unreal Tournament 3 and got the BSOD. My graphics card is NVidia PCI-E x16 GeForce 8600 GTS 512 MB. It’s a good one but still don’t know what the problem is. This is the error I get with the stop error:

    BCCode: 101
    BCP1: 0000000000000061
    BCP2: 0000000000000000
    BCP3: FFFFFA60005EC180
    BCP4: 0000000000000001
    OS Version: 6_0_6001
    Service Pack: 1_0
    Product: 256_1
    STOP: 0x00000101 (0x00000000000061, 0x00000000000000,
    0xFFFFFA60005EC180, 0x0000000000000001)
I tried various troubleshooting but nothing helped so far. I updated mobo BIOs to v1404, ran memtest and verified the memory timing, even installed Vista Codec package and CCCP Codec package, ran windows updates, etcc. Nothing worked.

So request you guys to please provide me atleast on working solution to get rid of this BlueScreen problem. If you need, here is my complete system configuration:

    overclocked, Forceware version 168.25

    Re: Stop Error: 0x00000101 Issue

I think I figured it out myself. It was due to the overheating I guess. I just downloaded program named Hot CPU Tester Pro 4.41 and ran the same. Earlier I got BSOD twice while running the program/test before it gets completed. So I turned off the system, removed the CPU heat sink, cleaned and applied thermal paste and ran the test again. This time there was no bluescreen and all my programs work fine now. Thanks BTW.

If you are getting the BLUE SCREEN with only any particular program than you should better consult with their manufacturer. Also check the system requirements . They must be having some updates or patches to fix the problem.
