Vista Ultimate - Won't Boot and Startup Repair crashes

My Vista system suddenly starting crashing on bootup. I am getting a long stop error code continuously on the screen. The error code is STOP 0x0000000A. I tried to get in safe mode. It is working for some where. But I am not able to enter Event Viewer and find the detailed information on the crash. How can fix the problem. Thanks.

For fixing the problem you have to run a repair setup of Vista. You can do that with the help of Vista bootable disc. Just boot your system from that and click on Repair. I think there is some major problem in your system. It can be due to incompatible hardware, driver or corrupt system files. You have to format your system and get fresh Vista installation. If you have backup then you can try live boot cd to backup your data and then go with further installation.

Did you tried Startup Repair. This is the best way to fix the problem. If the issue is related to startup or bootloader then this might fix the issue or else installing Vista back from scratch is the only option remain. And you had not mentioned the complete detail about the error. Because that is the only way by which someone can help you to locate the right problem with your system.

Re: Vista Ultimate - Won't Boot and Startup Repair crashes (got it)

The error that you had mentioned is related to some ndis.sys driver file. You can find ample of information on the same on Google. This will help you to troubleshoot your issue. The file is either missing or corrupted. This happen due to some recent un-installation. It is possible to replace that but, the process will be very complicated. So it is better you must go with repair setup. It will help you to deal with the problem.

    Hi,
My satellite X205-S9359 won't boot. I get only either:

-For Realteck RTL8111B Gigabit Ethernet controller
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
    PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE ROM

-with a internet cable connection plugged in, this msg
Client Mac ADR: (my Mac adress)
    GUID:(number)
    DHCP: . . . . .
    PXE-E53: no boot filename received

    Upon started i can read
    Bios shadowed
    Videos Bios shadowed

HHD are listed but no active in bios displayed.

    Help would be greatly appreciated

I think that it might be a problem with the graphics card so try hooking it up to an external monitor and see what happens. FN-F5 switches between monitors. Or else you can also look for the solutions given in this similar kind of thread - Toshiba Satellite X205-S9359 crashes and won't Boot

It did not work. BTW, in the BIOS, it reads the HHD but they are not active. Does this mean that they are fried? Thanks for the same.
