Setup exe stopped working when uninstalling

I am using Windows Vista on Sony vaio laptop which is just a month old. I have few programs installed on my computer that I don’t need any more such as norton antivirus, AOL helper and Roxio. Hence I was trying to remove them by going to Add and remove Program. But whenever I click uninstall, the setup starts and comes with an error saying “setup exe has stopped working.”

Basically removing Norton manually from the system is very difficult. You should use the Norton Uninstallation tool for the same. You can download and get more info about this removal process from here: https://www-secure.symantec.com/nort...us&pvid=f-home

Once you removed it via this tool, don’t forget to delete its left over files and folders from Program Files.

If you are unable to delete programs from Add and Remove control panel, will suggest you to do the same with Disk Cleanup Tool. Just go to start and Type Disk Cleanup. Select the programs you want to delete and click remove. This will remove them along with their registries and files.
