Security update for Capicom (KB931906) hangs-up Updates

I use to keep my Windows Vista updated regularly with all Windows Updates. Yesterday while doing the same my system got stuck with an update for “Security update for Capicom (KB931906)”.

It just got stuck for hours on 66%. I almost waited for about 2 hours but still it was right there on 66 percent. Also I wasn’t able to cancel this update. Finally I need to hard reboot my system. Is there any alternate why I can update my Vista ?please help.

Well if you are not able to do it from Windows Update, doesn’t matter, you can download the same and apply it manually. But before doing the same will suggest you to scan your system with any good and updated antivirus / security suite confirming the freeze was not due to malware attack. If it is clean, just open this Microsoft Page http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en , download the patch and install.
