How to get rid of old backup information in Windows Vista

I am using Vista Home Premium system. The internal Back and Restore application is used to copy my data. I had configured a incremental backup. There are some video files. I created a one more backup which consist of copying all the files. But somehow there is issue with the backup. The older one is overwritten by the new one. When I ceck the backup I found a huge number of files which are copied again and again. The old backup information are still listed in Vista.

This is a straight issue of misconfiguration. You had not properly applied the settings due to which the backup fails or simply copied instead of overwritten. If your system is working fine and there is no issue in deleting the old backup files, you can try creating all stuff from scratch. Just wipe out the old files and make a fresh backup process and perform it instantly so that atleast you can have a single copy of files with you.
