Can't ping Vista machine from XP machine?

I have a home Network which consists two windows XP machines and a Windows Vista. I’m able to access both XP machines from Vista without any problem or error but when I try access Vista from any of these Win XP machines, it won’t. Vista cannot be to pinged, access shared file, http server, etc. there is no way I can access vista from XP.

I read on various sites which says I need to disable Firewall and Antiviruses, well I did the same but still it wont work. Any idea or help please?

That’s not surprising. There are many users facing these problems with Vista. Anyway, is Vista able to ping itself?

Also have you enabled file and printer sharing?

Thanks for your reply hindustnidude. Yes, when I do "ping localhost" from my Vista, it is successful. Also file and print sharing is enabled but still none of my Vista machine is able to access files on the Vista machine.
