Unable to Connect to the Internet - Unidentified Network

I recently upgraded from Windows XP to Vista. I was having full internet access last week and at work we access the network on a DSL connection under a WORKGROUP. But after returning home I did not had the ability to connect to the internet. I have a wired home network under a WORKGOUP with 3 other computers connected to my same network and all have internet connection except the Dell 6000 notebook. So, when I use the ipconfig /release then I will get some message "The requested operation requires elevation". After that when I type ipconfig /renew then I will get "unable to contact DHCP server". I have also disabled the Windows and Norton Firewall in my computer but still cannot access the network? Any ideas?

RE: Unable to Connect to the Internet - Unidentified Network

I have got a small lan with 50 users and I am also getting similar issue. The problem gets oversized since there are more Vista computers joining the lan. There is one day that the lan will work but other time it will not work. When any Vista computer tries to lonon then it will get an IP address but soon it will release it after few seconds. I hope that someone could give some answers for this issue?

    I have a possible answer,

You need to take away your static ip or make one, it worked right away for me then =)

To take it away you need to do the opposite and clear and cross in the oposite boxes to the link.
