US Robotics USR805422 Wireless USB Adaptor

I have installed Windows Vista on my computer and does anybody knows a way to use the US Robotics USR805422 Wireless USB Adaptor with the same OS? I have tried connecting it via the wired lan and getting Windows Update to download an updated driver but still it will not work. When I asked the US Robotics then they told me that this device is not supported in Vista because it is still in beta stage. Any ideas?

Can you look at the Network Discovery which is telling that it is off and not on and not giving the changed to put it on? So, I turned on the 2 services in the services.msc namely SSDP and Universal plug and then went back to the network discovery and then clicked to turn in on and it worked.

After that insert the US robotics adapter and then insert the drive CD that came with it. Now, just follow the install wizard that Vista starts that tells the CD as the source for the drivers. With this method, you will not have the USR interface installed but only the driver.

I assume that the Wireless USB that you have only has drivers for Windows XP/2000. This is because it is pretty old usb wireless so this cannot be used in the new operating system with better TCP/IP stack, and it doesnt have the correct firmware support as well.
