    Removing a Network Location

If I am trying to remove a network location from My Network Locations in Vista, then it will usually hang up and then I have to go to the device manager to shut it down. Can anyone tell me how to remove this thing properly? Thanks for any reply in advance.

If you are facing any kind of network problem then you can let us know about it so that we can guide you in the right direction. If it is just a visual annoyance of the network icon that you have described then ensure that nothing is mapped to the Fathom Network and leave it all alone, it will just go away after sometime.

Actually, the issue is that the network location is no loger valid and therefore I want to remove it, the file and not the icon, what I meant to say.

You need to ensure that all the computers that are on the network are configured with the similar network name and then each has a unique computer name. You can try to delete every un-needed Network icon which you can simply do by right clicking on it and then getting the option to delete it. If there is something remaining in behind then let it run for sometime and eventually it will disappear in the end.
