    Network computer not accessible

I have a Wireless network at my home running two systems, a Windows Vista Desktop and a Laptop. Both are connected to the same network and I want complete access to both systems for transferring and modifying files between computers with Password Protected Sharing enabled. But the problem am facing is my laptop is not able to access the desktop. Whenever I try to do so, it gives me an error message saying

“Desktop is not accessible. You might not havepermission to use this network resource...etc.”

As per settings both systems are running on same workgroup with same username and password. Network sharing and discovery options are enabled. But still the problem exists. With Password Protected Sharing my Desktop is able to access the laptop but laptop is not able to access the desktop. I need to disable the password for the same.

Hope you guys understood my problem. Please help.

Well settings seems to be proper, if desktop is able to access laptop, then laptop must also able to. Anyways, I would suggest you to just try booting them in safe mode or do a clean boot and see if you are able to access desktop from laptop.

Thank you very much for the reply friend. I tried booting them in Safe mode with Network but when I try connecting it from tablet, I received the following error:

“Desktop is not set up to establish a connection on port "File and Printer Sharing (SMB)" with this computer.”

    What now?

Do you receive any error if running "net share" command on Tablet?
