Will not connect to network with WPA enabled

I recently purchased a new Laptop that came with Vista preinstalled on it and I used a setup to access the internet with the help of a wireless with WPA enabled. But after some time it lost the connection and wont connect when using WPA now? There is no problems if the Security is disabled or WEP is enabled. But the problem is that the other laptop wont connect while using this WEP? When I checked in the Event Viewer then it tells me "Layer 2 security key exchange did not generate multicast keys before timeout". When I try to diagnose the problem then it will report "Try to connect again" and then it will also tell me 'Could not diagnose the problem'. I am using a 3Com router with the latest updated firmware and Windows Vista with service pack 1. Thanks for any solution.

I think that when you are saying that the other laptop os not ableo to connect while using the WEP then it simply means that the router might be going bad. You can try to take the 2 computers to a friend wthat has got a Royter or can even borrow Router and then try the computers with WPA. If the connection works with another Router then you may have no chance but to get a new Roter as well.

Did you check that whether in the laptop that you have, there is the latest drivers for the network adapter installed already or not?

Thanks for the information. So I have bought a new router and everything is working fine like before.
