How can I import contacts from Windows Mail to Outlook 2003

I’m using Windows mail on vista since a long year. Now due to some reason I need to pull all contacts from Windows Mail to Outlook 2003. In past I have done this but from Outlook to Windows mail. Can you guys please tell me how can I import Windows mail Contacts into Outlook 2003?

    Many thanks.

That is very simple to do. Launch Windows mail, Open Contacts, click on Export.

Select “CSV format (DOS)” as file type. And finally Import Into Outlook.

That’s it. You will be done.

    not working

Even I was looking for the same and Thanks for your stpes Jason but that doesn’t seems to be working, atleast in my case. It is Windows mail running on Vista Home Edition. When I click to Export there is no choice for “DOS”.

Tried many times by restarting the PC as well but still the same thing. Can you please figure out what the problem is ?

I don’t know how you guys can import CSV file into Outlook 2003. I just tried doing the same but the only import option I can see in my OL 2003 are:
    1. Export to a file
    2. Import a vcard file
    3. import and icalendar or vcalendar file
    4. import internet mail account settings
    5. import internet mail and addresses

Where is the option to import CSV if I had a contacts backup in CSV format form windows Mail?

Hey guys, here is the easiest and happening solution.

Launch Windows Mail, click File > Export > Windows Contacts > CSV (Comma separated Values). Save the file on desktop.

Now launch Outlook, click File > Import and Export > Import from another program or file > Comma Separated Values (Windows). Locate and select the file we saved on desktop above.

    That’s it.
