Importing Outlook Express Messages into Outlook 2007

Due to some problem in my old desktop that is running with Windows XP, I bought a new PC with Windows Vista. But before I dump my XP system, I want to get all Emails/Contacts from the same to Vista machine. I was using Outlook Express on XP and have installed Outlook 2007 on Vista.

Now the problem am facing is that the backup on Xp is in dbx file and when I try to put it in Outlook 2007 (vista), it is not able to read the same. Can anyone please tell me how can I get the outlook express messages in Outlook2007? Thank You .

According to the situation I have only one option in the mind. Vista mail/Windows mail can read the dbx file easily. So what you can do is move that dbx file from to Vista and import it in Windows mail first. Once done, that export the same to Outlook 2007. To do this, checkout the instructions here.

This could be the best solution to get your emails from xp to vista.
