Update for Windows XP (KB898461) wont install

Im not getting an error code, and it has repeated errored when i try to
install. i have tried restarting and trying it agin no dice, any advice
anyone?

Updates are not installed successfully from Windows Update, from Microsoft
Update, or by using Automatic Updates after you repair a Windows XP
installation:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/943144

NB: Also applies to clean installs, upgrade installs, and Recovery installs.

Thank you !! This post helped me alot. I followed the directions from
http://support.micosoft.com/kb/943144 and it worked !
