I have a Toshiba Satellite P205 laptop running Vista Home Premium. Attempts

Which P205 ? There are 23 of that model. You need the *entire number*,
which is on the bottom of the laptop.
This is the most recent driver available for these Satellite P205 series:
P205-S6347, P205-S7469, P205-S7476, P205-S7482, P205-S7484, P205-S7457,
P205-S7402, P205-S7804, P205-S7806, P205-S8810, P205-S8811

There are 12 more P205 that are not listed.

Sorry about that. My Satellite is a P205-S6237.
Since it's not on the list you provided, can I assume that I shouldn't make
any more attempts to update it?

The only one that concerns the Display Driver involves choppy streamed
video.
Nothing mentions the driver being a cause for the failure of SP1 to
install nor post-SP1 installation issues.
So, the question begs, is this driver update going to resolve the
choppy streaming video issue ?
If not, then hide it.
