vista update error code 80070057 and 80070002

[windows vista update problem]

i just tired updateing vista up it said unable to install error code
80070057 and 80070002 i clicked to get help on the first code it said to
delete a folder in my computer i did and then tired to get help on the second
error code but o the list the code was not shown i tried updateing agian but
still nothing please can u help me!

Here is a new complaint.
After checking for and installing all currently needed updates for Office Pro 2003 Outlook 2003 Every time I start Outlook I get a install box and ultimately can not find file and when I cancel the install I get OUTLBAR.INF error code 8007002 line0 and a sugestion to reinstall OultLOOK.
My Outlook works fine What the H**l is OUTLBAR.inf anyway and How other than reinstalling OUTLOOK do I fix this??

Oh and BY THE WAY in Ref to my earlier post about Outlookbar.inf I AM NOT RUNNING VISTA I am RUNNING XP

I'm in the same boat as the rest...I have been tring to get updates on my
laptop since April 2010...i have followed the steps that the help and support
said and it doesn't clear out...I have talked to a Microsoft rep... and
followed her steps that she sent in an email.. and you know what I still
can't get updates... If anyone has any more ideas please pass them to me...I
did find out that I have a file in the software dist file called datastore
that doesnt delete... this error is actually beating me...
