I have Windows Vista. It started to show "Windows can't check for updates"
message. Then it says Error found: Code 80240013. I could not find any help
for this error. Anyone has any idea what I should do?

Are you sure that's the correct error?
Try shutting down and restarting; that worked for me.
Same problem I have had since feb ... However it looks like I am updating but
the date of my last update won't change .and I get the icon in my bottom
screen stating windows can'e check update
i have the same error.
It began on April 11, 2008 for no apparent reason.
The error code is
Code 80240013
Rebooting doesn't help. I'm not having any other problems.
I have Windows Vista home basic (32-bit).
First and only problem with this operating system, but I can't seem to find

When I check for windows updates, I always get, "Cannot check for updates, Error Code 80080005" Anyone know why?
