There should be some log files in "D:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL
Server\90\Setup
Bootstrap\LOG\Hotfix\SQL9Express_Hotfix_KB921896_SQLEXPR.EXE
SQL Express Features", open up the log files in this folder and search for
"value 3". Please paste the contents of the 20 lines before "value 3" to the
newsgroups.

Hi Peter, I also get the same error when I try and install this update. I'm running Vista Premium. I do not seem to have exactly the same file structure per your advice to Bob above. I dont see afolder called
"SQL Express Features"
