Cannot update Vista Ultimate: error 8024AFFF

Hi,

Windows Update on Vista Ultimate failed today, giving the error code
8024AFFF. It used to work perfectly, but today it suddenly gave me this
error. I couldn't find much info about this code. Does anybody know what it
is?

I just tried again and now it worked! I don't understand what went wrong the
previous times I tried, but the updates are now installed. I still would like
some explanation if that's possible.
