    Error number: 0x80072EE7

I am trying to run Windows update, and I get "Error number: 0x80072EE7" every
time it tries to scan. This happens from multiple computers - what does it
    mean? What can I do?

    RE: Error number: 0x80072EE7

The problem was with a public DNS server that I was forwarding to from my
internal DNS server. I changed my forwarders on my internal DNS to forward
to a new public DNS and its working now.

Thank you Matt N Your the man it worked great ,did everything like you said and bingo Im back in business

    download fixwareout -
    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/file...Fixwareout.exe
Note: You will need to run this tool while having an Internet Connection.
The tool will download other files while running.
Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run
fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts.
If your firewall gives an alert, (because this tool will download an
additional files from the internet), please don't let your firewall block it,
    but allow it instead.
You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may
take longer than usual to load; this is normal.
Once the desktop loads a text file will open (report.txt).

After that try the microsoft update - it worked great for me.
If you think about it, let me know.
