    Error number: 0x800706BB

    I can not run windows update on an XPsp3 desktop. I get this message:

    Error number : 0x800706BB
    The website has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are
    trying to view. The options provided below might help you solve the problem

    I also cannot update flash player. I applied fixes as per adobe site, that
    did not work so I decided to check for updates which led me to find out it
    does not work either.

    Autoupdates was on.

    You receive a "Windows Update has encountered an error and cannot display
    the requested page" error message when you try to install an update:
