    Silverlight error message

Please advise if this issue should be addressed in another newsgroup.

My OS: WinXP Pro SP3 (fully patched and updated to current status).
My Browser: IE7 (fully updated and patched).

<http://*.microsoft.com/> is added to the 'Trusted Sites' zone.

Some time ago (I forget when but it was after installing SP3) I
    downloaded/Installed:
    Microsoft Silverlight 1.0.21115.0
and a few weeks ago accessed:
    http://www.microsoft.com/emea/spotli...px?videoid=359
and I was able to see the video presentation without any problems.

Today I wanted to see this video presentation again but wasn't able to
    because of this:
    Silverlight error message
    ErrorCode: 4001
    ErrorType: MediaError
Message: 4001 An error has occurred.

    So, I updated to:
Microsoft Silverlight 2.0.31005.0 Installed On 19-Oct-08

    When trying to access:
    http://www.microsoft.com/emea/spotli...px?videoid=359
I got the same error message as above.

    Any idea what's causing this?

Live Search and Google searches for ErrorCode: 4001 all came up with a
    different 'ErrorType'.
    TIA

I just tried it and the video is working correctly for me. Only thing
    different is I have IE8.

    Re: Silverlight error message

Suggestion, if your origional version was the beta, you should have
uninstalled it before you downloaded and installed 2.0. Uninstall both and
try a fresh download and install of 2.0.
