    KB955302 FAILS TO INSTALL ERROR CODE 8007371C on Vista Sp1

    I tried to install repeatedly KB955302 both on Automatic Update and by
    manually downloading the french version file setup from microsoft, with all
    my firewall, antivirus and antispyware shut off (I have AVAST 4.8, Comodo 3
    and SpySweeper 5.8) but it fails each time. The computer shuts down as if it
    was installing it but automatic download is then asking me to install it
    again. I contacted the free email technical help without much success,
    sending him my windowsupdate.log file. Any solution??? I'm in the dark, here!

    same problem here. german version. autoupdate and downloaded update fails.
    after the restart it tries to configure something and after "3 / 3 updates -
    100%" restarts again ans shows a message that somethig could not be
    cofigured...

    system info: vista ultimate x64 german, kaspersky IS 7.0 was deaktivated
    the error code is: 80004005

    @kromit only!...

    The update is not installed successfully, you receive a message, and the
    computer restarts when you try to install an update in Windows Vista:

    Same problem here. Windows Vista Sp1 on Acer desktop 1 GB RAM, 320 GB HD,
    1.6 GHz. Last time I had these kind of problems with a Windows Update I had
    to completely remove Comodo3 FW because of the interference of its HIPS
    DEFENSE + with the update. Seems Comodo is too aggressive in protecting the
    system. What do you think?
