    Windows encountered a problem when trying to copy this file

    ok, clicked on a photo to copy and right away a box comes up

    Problem copying..........Windows encountered a problem when trying to copy this file
    tells the img # dimensions, date photo taken, camera model, type and size..
    then has two boxs retry and cancel, only button that works is cancel
    no matter what i do copy a folder, copy to cd or just one photo.

    WAS ABLE TO BURN ON WED.
    NOTE TO SELF....
    NEXT TIME YOU AS IN ME GO TO BURN A CD MAKE SURE ITS A CD-R NOT A DAM DVD

    well played around with the cpu msconfig recheck somethings not sure what the removed the dvd and installed a cd-r. not really sure what the problem was but it works now

    i think that you are trying to copy a file from a DVD or CD..
    and the file cannot be copied. isnt it?
    i think your CD or DVD has not been written correctly...
    that is why the file is corrupt!!

    My solution. Had exactly the same error on a neighbors PC. Right clicked document ( to be backed up ) and chose 'send to' to see what options available. There was a 3rd party app installed, which had probably taken over the native window function. Regardless 'sent' doc to 3rd party app. Burned backup no problem. Good Luck
