    Can't open word document "the name in the end tag of the element must match the element type in the start tag."

    I'm using microsoft word with 2010 office and getting the following error when i'm trying to open my document. "the name in the end tag of the element must match the element type in the start tag." i tried googling for solution and it seems like you need to know some XML in order to fix the error could perhaps any friendly soul out there help me out?

    You can use the Fix it solution provided in this article to recover your Word documents that display the error message that you are getting. This Fix it solution will allow you to recover your file. However, it may not resolve the root cause. You may experience the same symptoms if any further edits to the document occur.
