Just reinstalled it to get rid of the run to click thing. Huge pain. Now when I close it during the day, it won't restart. I have to restart my computer.
I think it's not fully quitting when I hit the "x". Any ideas? Thank you!

Also, if I cancel a "send/receive", the next time I hit send/receive, it just prepares and never does the deed. I cancel because it gets hung up halfway thru the send/receive... all passwords are correct... no clues. Argh.
P.S. Running Vista on a Dell Inspiron 1545 2.16 GHz, 3G ram.
You mean when you try to send/receive any files from outlook 2010 then it hangs up? If that is the case then follow the below workaround:
- Open Outlook 2010 > Manage Rules & Alerts >
- Do not export your rules - manually check/copy/print screen the values of each rule
- remove all rules
- close Outlook 2010
- open task manager and kill any outlook process and/or SAS process (send a smile)
- Open Outlook 2010 again - send and receive will be working fine
- review your old rules and add all necessary rules.
This happens when some process continues to be executing in background even after the window is closed. That means the application is not completely closed. This is happening for me too on windows XP updated to service pack 3. I then reinstalled windows and office and retained windows with service pack 2 only without updating to SP3. Now it is running smoother.
