Selecting paper source based on PDF page size in Adobe Reader

I have a printer with multiple paper size printing function. It has 5 trays to insert 5 different sizes of papers for printing. Now the problem is that I want an option such that when I give a print option in Adobe Reader, then it must automatically detect the size of paper and choose the appropriate size for printing. At present, I am having a PDF document which of size 11 x 17. If I give print option, then the content is printed in corner of paper of larger size with it scaling in one corner. Does anybody know how to get the printing done as I want?

As you have mentioned that the content is printed in the corner of bigger paper, it shouldn’t happen. Check out the printing properties for print area. I have worked on printing papers for long time and I can tell you that the content is never scaled or resized automatically. If the size of the content to be printed is larger than the paper to be printed, then some content will be printed on next paper. Still, I suggest you to check the properties of print option. It might be possible that the print size might be set to lower by default or you must have entered them wrong unknowingly.

I use Adobe Reader in Windows XP and I know how to set the properties of print option to choose page size automatically from various paper sizes available.
    1) Get in the Print options from File tab.
    2) In the page setup menu, select the printing area.
    3) There you will find an option by name ‘Choose Paper Source by PDF Page Size.’
    4) Mark it and click on ‘Ok’ to print.

If you are using Mac OS, then it is a bit different process. But it is possible in Mac OS too. Follow the steps I have given below,
a] In the file tab, find the print options and get in it.
b] Click the printer button which is available at the bottom of the Print Dialog Box. Click ‘Yes’ when prompted.
c] Make sure the Print Dialog Box is well expanded so that you can see every option in it.
d] There in the layout menu, choose the Paper Handling option.
e] Here click on the ‘Scale to Fit Paper Size’ option and click on print.
