Problem viewing data from newly released DVD using AnyDVD.

I got DVDs of movies that were recently released. The packets which I purchased were sealed and had no scratches or visible damage marks on it. The first half of the movie was not proper viewable. It was performing like the disk was damaged. I have AnyDVD running on my computer but still it was giving this problem. Anybody can help me solve this problem?

Even if your packet of DVD was sealed one, there were no visible marks, there might have some damages that can’t be noticed with naked eyes or diagnosed. It can be caused due to improper handling of DVD during packing or manufacturing. Many companies tend to outsource their data for manufacturing at a cheap cost. This leads to use of cheap material and cheap labor. This must have caused the problem.

Many times, one can unknowingly place the DVD in such place where there is lot of dust. This can be hampering the process of disk reading head to fail to read the data on the disk. You must clean the DVD with a cloth before using it in the drive. Many disk cleaners are available in market which you can use for cleaning the disk.

Many times such problems occur if the region code for your drive is not set. AnyDVD may not decrypt CSS properly if the region code is not set. Many people have misconception that when “region code = 0” then it is region free. This actually means that you have not set your region code and so AnyDVD is not helping you decrypt the region coded DVD.

To set the region code for your DVD drive, follow the given steps:
    1) Right click on the AnyDVD icon in quick launch tray and close it.
    2) Right click on My Computer and go into its properties.
    3) In the hardware, get into device manager.
    4) Find your DVD drive and right click on it.
    5) In its properties, you will find a region tab.
    6) Set your region here and again start AnyDVD.

If still the problem persists, you can create an error log and send it to developer. To send the error log you have to,
a] with AnyDVD running, insert the DVD which is giving error in the DVD drive.
b] Right click on the AnyDVD logo in quick launch tray and click on “Create Logfile”.
c] Wait for AnyDVD to create log file, after its creation it will be notified with a pop-up message.
d] After this, your default browser will open the AnyDVD forums.
e] In the forums, type in your query and attach the logfile created by AnyDVD.
Your query will then is studied and research by team of engineers. If any other user of AnyDVD has encountered such problem, he/she can share opinion on it.
