I have read your problem and I would like to tell you that you should try custom installation of VM Tools and then check what the result is. While doing this you have to uncheck shared folder and after installing the tools you have to upgrade the tools.

You have to first check whether you have \\.PSF\.Home\Documents\ in you’re the path or not. If you have \\.PSF\.Home\Documents\ in the part then you have to remove that and after that you have to check whether same problem is occurring or not.

You should try these steps to check for the \\.PSF\.Home\Documents\ path.

    • First right click on my computer.
    • Select properties.
    • Now select advance tab.
    • Now choose Environment Variables
    • If you see \\.PSF\.Home\Documents\ path then you have to remove it.
    • I hope after trying this solution your problem will get solved.

You can also try to solve this problem by running the Microsoft Fix it tool in your system and after that you have to check whether same problem is occurring or not. If you want to download Microsoft Fix it tool to solve this then you have to click here DOWNLOAD. now after that running this your problem might get solved.
