Installation of VMware Tools on imported Parallels VM gives Error 1606

Hello friends I am facing problem while installing VMware Tools on imported Parallels VM. When I try to install VMware Tools at that time I get “Error 1606. Could not access network location.PSF\.Home\Documents\.” Now please tell me what should I do to solve this problem?

I have read your problem and I would like to tell you that you should try custom installation of VM Tools and then check what the result is. While doing this you have to uncheck shared folder and after installing the tools you have to upgrade the tools.

You have to first check whether you have \\.PSF\.Home\Documents\ in you’re the path or not. If you have \\.PSF\.Home\Documents\ in the part then you have to remove that and after that you have to check whether same problem is occurring or not.

Thank you for helping me. I have referred your solution and first I have tried to solve this problem trying custom installation but after trying custom installation also problem does not get solved. Now after that I have als o try to check for the \\.PSF\.Home\Documents\ in the path but I don’t know from where to do this. Please help me what should I do to solve this problem. You should try these steps to check for the \\.PSF\.Home\Documents\ path.

• First right click on my computer.
• Select properties.
• Now select advance tab.
• Now choose Environment Variables
• If you see \\.PSF\.Home\Documents\ path then you have to remove it.
