    Converting iWork file to OpenOffice

previously I have installed Mac OS X on my system. Recently I have switched to Ubuntu. I have used iWork on my Mac. It was having large number of .pages documents which I don’t wanted to loose an access on it. can you tell me about anyway to convert all those files so that I can use on OpenOffice. Or I need to export them?

You have to check pages to see if you can export the documents to either open office file or you will need to be neutral format which can be open and edit. Doc will only work if you are having text file.

Thanks a lot for the prompt reply of yours. I am aware of that I can export to .doc. I was using Pages from past many years so there are lots of documents and I don’t wanted to loose at all.

If you are having iWork and OpenOffice which will give you word processing, presentation software and spreadsheets. If you are a happy user of iWork then you will not require to use OpenOffice. In case you are using iWork and decided to switch another OS then you will need to change all the file types. Since iWork are not compatible with any other kind of applications.
