We can work on the layering process of graphic file in fireworks. We can access all the layers from the layers panel. There is feature called Smart guide and when u activate it, you can eventually use the selection tool to drag any object which is present on the canvas. The lines will automatically appear. There is an another feature called 9 slice scaling in which we can get the actual figure and dimension we want. It will not change. It will maintain the exact shape when it is transformed.

Macromedia Fireworks 8 has various great features in them. Here are some features:

    • Adobe Creative Suite Integration: In this feature the file formats such as ai, psd, eps are used by the designers to provide better workflow between different Adobe Applications.
    • Image Optimization: this feature is specially created for web production. We can compress the image very easily and it has the best compression rate compared to Photoshop including JPEG, PNG and GIF images.
    • Symbols: we can convert the elements into symbols and place multiple pages. When we edit the master symbol, there is an instant change in the symbols.
    • Export: the file can be exported to format. The individual pages of a file can also be transformed into a single pdf.
