VLC player 1.1.11 opens very slowly

Recently I have updated VLC player in my computer in which i have windows vista and after updating the VLC player in my computer it has started giving me problems. Now whenever I try to open the VLC media player to version 1.1.11 at that time it takes long time to open it. Please tell me what I should do to solve this problem.

First you have to open the start menu and then you have to type this %appdata%\vlc in start menu search box and then you have to delete that folder. After that it will reset the setting of the VLC media player to version 1.1.11. after that you have to open the VLC media player to version 1.1.11 again and then check whether same problem is occurring or not. I have read your solution and I have deleted the folder of VLC from the appdata folder and after that when I open the VLC player at that time I didn’t get any problem. Now all the things are working properly in my computer. Thank you for helping me.
